For recreational use: 2.10 hp/100 rpm (1.57 kW/100 rpm) For example, at a maximum engine speed of 3200 rpm, the gearbox is suitable for an engine with a maximum power output of approximately 67 hp/ 50 kW.

Gearbox design and operation

The gearbox's symmetrical drive shafting and friction caps, both front and rear, allow the gearbox to be used in forward driving with both right and left hand propellers. This makes the gearbox ideal for twin-engine installations.

The hydraulically operated gearbox uses engine oil instead of hydraulic oil and therefore responds quickly and smoothly to changes in direction. The aluminium shell of the gearbox is designed to be lightweight but robust. The gearbox is reliable and durable, but in the event of a hydraulic failure, the gearbox has a mechanical locking facility, allowing the gearbox to be driven to port in an emergency.

Mounting to engine and output bracket

The SAE plate is selected according to the engine mounting and the drive plate according to the mounting plate/flywheel mounting on an engine-specific basis. The gearbox output flange size is 4". Gearbox price does not include SAE mounting plate, oil heat exchanger, hoses or drive plate. SAE plates below (order separately).
