There are two control panels with infinitely variable control: BPPPA and BPPJA. The BPPJA panel has a hold function to lock the bow thruster at the desired power, for example when loading against the quay.

The carbon brushless electric motors of the BOW PRO bow thrusters are efficient, extremely quiet and enclosed induction motors. The Vetus BOW PRO models use the same bevel gears as the standard BOW series bow thrusters. This makes it easy to upgrade an old bow thruster from an old Vetus bow thruster between models of the same tunnel diameter.
