Description
PSS Pro shaft seal for propeller shaft sealing for Ø 25 mm propeller shaft and Ø 38 - 42 mm rim tube.
PSS seals are fully leakproof. The seal is easy to install in place of an old shaft seal.
The seal consists of three separate parts; the fixed part, attached to the rim tube by a flexible silicone hose, has a wear-resistant carbon fibre surface, the propeller shaft has a steel counterpart which rotates with the shaft. In addition, a separate retaining ring is tightened to the propeller shaft in front of the counterpart to ensure the stability of the counterpart.
The sealing surface is cooled by water from the rim tube.The opposing parts of the seal are pressed against each other by means of a specially designed and strong shark-like silicone hose. The hose also has a steel spring coil to reinforce the hose and increase the compression force of the hose against the counterpart.
