BOW PRO BOWB065 Vetus bow thruster with infinitely variable power control. Suitable for Ø 185 mm tunnel.
BOW PRO scoop and trailer propellers are the most advanced technology in their field. The Bow Pro bow thruster features a carbon-brushed, maintenance-free induction motor, giving the bow thruster unlimited running time. The motor is CANbus controlled Vetus MCV
with a motor controller. Stepless power control for increased comfort and safety. The bow thruster is also equipped with thermal and low-voltage protection.
BOW PRO bow and stern propellers have the same durable bevel gears and quiet propellers as the standard Vetus BOW bow propellers.

Upgrading an old bow thruster from an old Vetus and often other makes of bow thruster is quite easy due to the same tunnel diameters.

The BOWB models are 24 V but can be installed on a boat with 12 V.The PRO model has a built-in battery/inverter that doubles the supply voltage. The unit requires its own 24 V battery but also charges the battery from the boat's 12 V system. The built-in battery charger has three charge cycles so it helps to keep the batteries at an optimum level.
Two driver models are available for BOW PRO models. Both are fully infinitely variable. The BPPPA model has only two-way control and an on/off switch. The BPPJE model also has a locking function that allows the bow thruster to be locked at the desired power level, for example when moored against the dock.
In addition to the BOW PRO bow thruster, accessories and parts to be purchased separately: suitable tunnel, wiring harness, controller, fuse and main circuit breaker, fuse box, battery cables and connectors and batteries.
