Boat Wastewater System – Black and Gray Water

Ship wastewater is divided into two main categories:

  • Black wastewater – Wastewater from the toilet, i.e., sanitary wastewater and the water used to flush it. Black water must always be collected in a septic tank and emptied at an approved pumping station.
  • Graywater – Wastewater from showers, sinks, and other water outlets. Although graywater has a lower environmental impact than blackwater, its collection may be required by national regulations.

Black and gray wastewater together make up a boat’s total wastewater load. VETUS wastewater systems are designed to handle both types of wastewater efficiently, either separately or together. Electric Boat Toilets – Comfort and Performance

VETUS electric boat toilets offer quiet operation, powerful flushing, and low water consumption. Each model features a high-quality porcelain bowl, a soft-close, easily removable toilet seat, and a powerful macerator pump with stainless steel cutting blades.

The pumps come standard with a Ø 19 mm discharge connection for a wastewater hose. A smaller discharge pipe takes up less space, is easier to install in structures, and allows for faster wastewater flow, which improves flushing performance.

The Vetus product line includes compact, full-size, wall-mounted, and floor-mounted marine toilets, so there’s a solution for nearly every boat and layout.

WWS Wastewater System – A Complete Turnkey Solution

The VETUS WWS wastewater system is a pre-assembled solution that includes:

  • integrated EMP140 wastewater pump
  • liquid level sensor
  • inspection hatch
  • pre-wired connections.

The containers are made of durable polyethylene and meet the requirements of the ISO 8099 standard.
