Soot spills on boats are a problem when soot soaks into the Gelgot and is difficult to remove.
Many boaters try to get soot off around windows and exhaust pipes by scrubbing, which wears away the surface of the Gelgoat.
Using Star Brit's soot spill cleaner (Instant Black Streak Remover), soot does not need to be scrubbed off, but is sprayed on and left to act for 30sec, then wiped and rinsed off. The product is safe to use on fibreglass, metal and painted surfaces and does not contain harsh chemicals or alkalis.
