Aluminium or steel spotter?<\/strong>
\nMost boats come with an aluminium propeller as standard. If you need a better
\nperformance such as top speed and acceleration should be considered
\nthe purchase of a steel spotter.<\/p>\n

Good to know when choosing a propeller<\/span>
Check the size of your current propeller. The propeller size is marked on the side of the propeller hub or on the end of the propeller hub. For example, 13 x 15, the first number is the diameter of the propeller and the second is the pitch in inches.<\/p>\n

A change in propeller pitch can increase or decrease the engine speed.
\nAn increase or decrease of two inches (2\") of lift usually affects the engine speed by about +- 300-400 rpm. <\/p>\n

Also check the engine manufacturer's recommended rpm range for your outboard engine!<\/span>
\nWhen you buy an engine, it often comes with a propeller, known as a standard propeller. This propeller is sized to fit as many engine\/boat combinations as possible.<\/p>\n

In all cases, a standard pick-up may not be the best option.<\/p>\n
