Solas Rubex NS3<\/span> The model RBX-203 propeller has a loose hub, which is supplied with the propeller. The propeller fits in place of the Yamaha K series propeller. <\/p>\n

The Rubex NS3 model is a high performance all-around prop with a large blade area for good performance.<\/p>\n

Aluminium or steel spotter?<\/strong>
\nMost boats come with an aluminium propeller as standard. If you need a better
\nperformance such as top speed and acceleration should be considered
\nthe purchase of a steel spotter.<\/p>\n

Good to know when choosing a propeller

The type, size and shape of the propeller affect the boat's acceleration, top speed and fuel economy. In general, a new outboard is equipped with a propeller that is well suited to a wide range of applications. This propeller may not always be the best choice and there are applications where a different size or shape of propeller is more suitable.
For example, two identical boats with the same engine power may have different propellers if they are driven with different loads or if one boat is used for water skiing, for example.<\/p>\n

Choose a propeller that allows the engine to reach or approach the maximum engine speed when driving at maximum torque and full throttle. Remember to check the engine manufacturer's recommended rev range for your outboard!
A change in propeller pitch can increase or decrease the engine speed. An increase or decrease of two inches (2\") of pitch will usually affect engine speed by about +- 300-400 rpm.
In general, you should choose a propeller with a higher pitch when the load is small and a lower pitch when the load is large. If the boat's load varies a lot, choose a propeller that allows the engine to reach the correct speed at maximum load. Remember, however, that you may need to reduce the throttle when the boat is under a lighter load to keep the engine speed within the recommended speed range for that engine. <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
