The Solas Rubex NS3 propeller has an RBX-203 hub, which is supplied with the propeller.
The Solas Rubex NS3 stainless steel all-around propeller offers good performance and acceleration. The Rubex replaceable hub helps to effectively eliminate vibration.<\/p>\n

Aluminium or steel spotter?<\/span>
Most outboard engines come with an aluminium propeller as standard. If you are looking for better performance such as top speed and acceleration you should consider a steel propeller.<\/p>\n

Good to know when choosing a propeller<\/span>

When an engine is purchased, it is often supplied with a propeller designed for the widest possible range of applications and sized to fit as many boat\/engine combinations as possible. This propeller may not be the best choice in all cases. Two identical boats with identical engines may have different propeller sizes if they are used with different loads or if one boat is used for water skiing, for example.<\/p>\n

A change in propeller pitch can increase or decrease the engine speed. An increase or decrease of two inches (2\") of pitch will usually affect engine speed by about +- 300-400 rpm. Also check the engine manufacturer's recommended rpm range for your outboard engine!<\/p>\n

In general, you should choose a propeller with a higher pitch when the load is small and a lower pitch when the load is large. If the boat's load varies a lot, choose a propeller that allows the engine to reach the correct speed at maximum load. Remember, however, that you may need to reduce the throttle when the boat is under a lighter load to keep the engine speed within the recommended speed range for that engine.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
